Well I think everyone knows, wherever in the world that you are, that the last few days the news has been consumed by what is happening in Ukraine. It's absolutely devastating and my heart really does go out to all the people who have been affected by it. I'm not from Ukraine but my mom's family originate from Hungary so we're very close to the region, and I don't know if this is the reason why I feel it all the more strongly. What I've been seeing in the news is awful. I find it so hard to believe that we are more than a fifth of the way into a new century and still these barbaric acts continue.
What are everyone's thoughts on the crisis?
First of all Trailblazer I'm really sorry that this crisis is happening so close to your mom's part of the world. I hope no one from your family is affected.
To say that what is happening in Ukraine is shocking is a major league understatement! When we first heard rumblings that there might be an invasion by Russia, I don't think many of us thought it would happen, and we did not think it would happen on the scale that it has. There has been major repercussions throughout the world, so for people who think they're not affected because they live in another country, well they're wrong.
The news and images that we are seeing are absolutely heartbreaking. I don't think there's anything I can say that everyone else isn't thinking or saying.
